Under managed care, there will be “Continuity of Care” provisions that will ensure that the type and level of supports currently provided to an individual with I/DD will remain in place (for a minimum period of time to be defined by New York State) when that individual enrolls in managed care. During that period, your Care Manager will work with you and the people you choose to review and assess your current services, and the possible need for any new or different services or providers.
