Who is eligible for Self-Direction?

Anyone who is eligible for services through New York State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and is enrolled in the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver can choose to self-direct their services.  (The HCBS Waiver provides opportunities for Medicaid beneficiaries to receive services in their own home or community rather than institutions or other isolated settings.)
